Our Charitable Donation to Legacy Youth Zone

At Wall to Wall Communications we believe in the positive impact that two way radios can have on an organisation. Two way radios do not just simply allow for fast and easy communication, but through doing so they also enhance efficiency, safety and security of staff and young visitors alike.

When scrolling through Linkedin I came across a post talking about Legacy Croydon Youth Zone and their support from Natwest bank who we have worked alongside for over 40 years.

Legacy Youth Zone is a charitable organisation that provides a safe place for 8 to 19 year olds in London (and up to 25 years for those with disabilities) to socialise and take part in activities including boxing, indoor rock climbing, basketball, dancing, fashion design, music, film. In addition to this Legacy Youth Zone also helps young adults prepare for the future by working on employability skills that will later help them get a job. With a charity that had such a positive impact on the local community and the younger generation functioning on very poor, old radios that did not work, as CEO of Wall to Wall I decided to help.

Wall to Wall Communications reached out to Legacy Youth Zone to donate a total of 16 ICOM 4002 radios FOC to help the staff on site work more efficiently and safely. The staff now use these radios to communicate throughout the facility to help coordinate events and activities during the day. This gives the members of staff working at Legacy the tools to run events more successfully and smoothly, which in turn allows them to assist more young members of the Youth Zone.

In addition to this, ICOM UK donated 16 brand new batteries to make sure the radios worked as best they could with the maximum battery life. To find out more about what ICOM can offer, you can visit their website here or call them on 01227 741741.

We hope that Legacy Youth Zone will benefit from their new two way radios and wish all of the staff and members all the best for the future!
